KORTE OMSCHRIJVING
|
The main focus of this course is the importance of intercultural communication in different settings. Starting with insights on culture and communication the following subjects will be covered: demographic and cultural issues, narrative approach, communication models and patterns, dimensions of culture, cultural adaptations perspectives, culture shock and intercultural competence.

SPECIFIEKE DOELSTELLINGEN
|
Learning how to communicate in international settings with people from different cultures. Learning to recognize the contributions to knowledge and civilization that have been made by members of various cultural groups. Learning to appreciate and understand the multicultural richness of our society, the dynamics of the interaction between such diverse cultural groups, the international dimensions of this phenomenon, and the evolving roles of men and women within that complex socio-economic and cultural situation. Learning to share and accept the perceptions and experiences of people of different cultures, even though they may differ greatly from one's own. Enhancing career prospects for working effectively in international companies or organisations in Belgium and abroad by training on intercultural skills.
